Membership

Anyone considering membership in the Kirk of the Lakes is invited to attend a New Members’ Class. Then prospective members meet with the Session informally, at which time they are asked to share a brief statement of faith. Membership officially is granted by vote of Session. Next, new members are received into the congregation during a Sunday morning worship service and are asked the following questions :

• Do you profess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
• Do you renounce evil, and in doing so seek to live a life that glorifies God?
• Do you commit to serving Christ through active membership at the Kirk of the Lakes?

After answering these questions in the affirmative, new members are entered into the church rolls as active members.
